Aim of the blog
Beeing still in the very first stages of my medical career I decided to become a psychiatrist. The area of my special interest will be substance misuse. As I go along with my career I want to break as many myths about psychiatry as possible. I want to explain the nature of psychiatric disorders in simple words. Psychiatric patients are ill, such as diabetic or asthmatic ones. They require regular medication - similar as in other illnesses. Psychiatrist are doctors, helping they patients get better.
